This class introduces both trainees and journeymen to transformers, grounding and bonding theory, safety and CODE requirements. Teaching delivery method may be instructor outline presentation, or it may involve presentation of a sequence of practical works for the students to complete, followed by a course completion test. Delivery will depend upon class student composition and experience.
You should have at least a basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code before taking this course – either through work experience or having taken at least one NEC class previously.
Required Text: UGLY’s Electrical Reference, any edition, and/or Philips’ Exam Prep 2014 edition or later.
Provides 8 hours Basic Classroom Education for Trainees or 8 hours Industry Related for journey level certificates.

Drive straight ahead and up the slight hill to find any parking spot under or in front of the elevated building.
Just inside the front door, take the stairs up and you’ll find the classroom.
Please do not park in the Pizza Hut or Midas lots.
